Max Battery
The astonishing battery life is due to two factors:
- an extremely high capacity 4100 mAh battery
- intelligent power modes that enable users to choose the ones that best suits their needs
- 4100mAh battery – With a charge rating of 4100mAh, the ZenFone 3 Max’s battery has one of the highest capacities of any smartphone. This battery is composed of a high-density lithium-polymer cell that has been crafted and shaped to fit within the phone’s small body.
Intelligent power modes – In addition to its high capacity battery, the ZenFone 3 Max also offers five selectable power modes that enable users to regulate power use according to their needs:
- Performance – Sets the CPU to highest performance and screen brightness to maximum. This mode is ideal for gaming or online video playback.
- Normal–The default setting, this mode intelligently adjusts CPU performance and screen brightness to conserve battery power.
- Power saving–In addition to automatically adjusting CPU performance and screen brightness to conserve battery power, this mode also disable networks (Mobile data, Wi-Fi) when the device is asleep to save even more power. It then reconnects access when the screen is turned on again. This mode is great for sleeping as it stops all online notifications until the device is awake again.
- Super saving–This mode works a little like Power Saving mode but goes a step further to close all network functions except phone, SMS, and alarm to provide a longer standby time. This mode can extend the ZenFone 3 Max’s standby time to an amazing 36 hours even with only 10% of the battery charge remaining.
- Super Saving mode: 10% battery for 36 hours standby
- Customized–Allows the user to customize all setting, such as CPU performance, brightness, and network functions.
Reverse Charging Capability–The ZenFone 3 Max’s high battery capacity also lets it double up as a power bank for charging other devices through a reverse charging capability.
Photographic Master
The main PixelMaster 13 megapixel camera of the ZenFone 3 Max is packed with features that are designed to help its users focus faster in any environment, and shoot better, clearer, more color-accurate photos.
ASUS Pixel Master – PixelMaster is the brand of the entire camera system in the ZenFone 3 Max It is a combination of advanced hardware – sourced from the industry’s best experts as well as developed in-house, coupled with proprietary ASUS software tuning and tweaks.
Super Resolution Mode – With the ZenFone 3 Max’s Super Resolution Mode, users can create an Deluxe-high resolution, 52 megapixel photo. It achieves this by using special image-processing techniques to capture and combine four 13 megapixel photos to create a single image of with exceptional 4X of clarity with greater detail and less noise.
Low Light Mode – In low light conditions, the ZenFone 3 Max’s Low Light Mode can combine four adjacent pixels on its sensor to work as a single large pixel that has far greater light sensitivity. This mode increases the light sensitivity of the sensor by up to 400%, allowing photos to be shot in low light conditions at faster shutter speeds that prevent blurring, and/or without the harsh, overpowering light of a flash. Although using this mode causes the photo resolution to be reduced to a quarter of the original sensor’s resolution, it is better to be able to shoot in dark environments than not at all, and the ZenFone 3 Max’s resolution is still able to produce a decent 4 megapixel photo in this mode.
Panoramic Mode – The perfect mode for wide landscapes, Panorama allows users to pan the camera from one side of landscape to another while the camera automatically captures the separate frames and stitches them together to for a wide panoramic photo.
Backlight HDR Mode – The Backlight (Super HDR) mode rapidly captures multiple shots of the scene, analyzes every pixel, and automatically brightens overly dark areas, and lightens overly bright areas of the photo by up to 400% to produce a well exposed photo.
Beautification mode – For those who love taking selfies and portraits, the Beautification Mode enhances the subject’s face in real time with makeup-like effects including skin softening and brightening, blush and color correction, eye enhancement and cheek-thinning.
