Samsung has begun a rollout of yet another software update for its Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge smartphones. The new update makes for the fourth beta update for these phones. It comes with added improvements and bug fixes that are a part of its Galaxy Beta software program.
Since this is the fourth Android Nougat beta, the bug fixes should technically be fewer, and they are. There are just two fixes mentioned in the changelog, according to SamMobile. The first one states that the Samsung Notes app has been removed. While some may be a bit worried, it is not a bad thing. The app will be available for download in the Samsung Galaxy Apps store or the Google Play Store instead. This will make the ROM lighter and those who really need the app can still download it from the desired store.
The second one simply mentioned that some more bugs have been squished and that the stability of the software has been improved.
Considering that this is a beta, Samsung also conveys to users that the team is working on other bugs and issues and if not fixed in the current beta (version four) will be addressed in the next build. So now it is clear that there is still a bit of time until the final Android 7.0 Nougat software arrives on the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge.
The update is about 280MB in size and users on the beta need to go to Settings>Software Update and then tap on ‘Software manual download’ to find the beta ROM.
