Announced last week, Microsoft’s stellar Surface Studio is currently up for pre-order ahead of its December launch.
Microsoft introduced us all to the Surface Studio last week, the company’s first desktop PC. It is undoubtedly an awesome piece of kit and is destined to become a huge success. Indeed, just days after its launch, the Surface Studio has already sold out.
It is worth pointing out that the PC is not yet available. It will launch on December 15 but is currently up for pre-orders. It seems getting one may prove tough.
Selling out so quickly is great news for Microsoft, not least because the device is expensive. Indeed, Microsoft is not even marketing the Surface Studio as a consumer PC, this is a unit for professionals. The entry-level machine costs a whopping $2,999 and the most expensive is $4,199.
Microsoft denies that it was targeting Apple’s customers with the Surface Studio. Instead, the company says it was seeking to create a true high-end PC for Windows creators.
Still, it is undoubtedly the most Apple-y PC you can get on the Windows platform.
