Truecaller has been one of the most successful caller ID apps today with over 250 million active users globally. It recently clubbed it’s Truedialer app into the the main Truecaller app adding more features to the app and improved its iOS app to offer more features.
The Swedish company has now revealed that it will entering the login authentication space and has announced the TrueSDK for developers. Priyam Bose, Director Worldwide Developer Relations, Truecaller said “TrueSDK is a seamless mechanism to users for easy authentication without having to go through complicated processes like OTP and others. More than 90 million Indians use Truecaller with their mobile numbers as an identity, so it actually makes sense. With TrueSDK we are providing an opportunity for brands as well as the end-users.”
This works like most of the social media logins like Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc. Users of Truecaller who already have a profile, simply need to hit the Login with Truecaller button and details like phone number, email and name are automatically filled in. Further, the Truecaller login system can also replace the OTP method of authentication as Truecaller already has authenticated mobile numbers of the users.
