Vivo launched the Vivo V5 Plus Limited Edition on Tuesday in an event held in Hyderabad. The smartphone has been announced to celebrate 10 years of IPL in our cricket-crazy nation. Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan launched the Matte black V5 Plus smartphone with a Vivo IPL logo engraved on the back of the smartphone. The company did not announce pricing and the smartphone will be available on Flipkart, Vivo Exclusive stores, and trade outlets starting 10 April.
CMO for Vivo India, Vivek Zhang added, “We are very proud to be introducing the beautiful Vivo IPL limited edition V5Plus phones on the 10th anniversary of the IPL. The idea behind the launch of limited edition phone was to offer our consumers with not just the phone but an experience they can cherish for a lifetime.”

The Vivo V5 Plus Limited Edition comes with a 5.5-inch display with Full HD resolution and Gorilla Glass 5 on top, a 2.0 GHz Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor with 4 GB RAM along with 64 GB internal storage.
There is no expandable storage slot to add more storage space to the smartphone. In the camera department, it offers a 16 MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, phase detection, and LED flash on the back while a Dual lens array camera with a 20 MP sensor and 8MP sensor with apertures f/2.0 on the front takes charge of capturing selfies.
The smartphone also features a fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button, 4G LTE bands support, dual nano-SIM card slot, a 3,055 mAh battery and even Vivo’s proprietary Fast Charging technology. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Vivo’s FunTouch OS 3.0 skin on top.
